When we were initially approached for this project, the design had already been submitted—the clients simply needed a contractor to bring it to life. But as I reviewed the plans, I saw an opportunity to go beyond the expected. For me, it’s not just about construction; I need to feel inspired by what I’m building. And this design, while solid, had potential to be something more.

Once groundwork began and I was immersed in the setting, I began to reimagine the areas surrounding the driveway. It became clear that the space needed a focal point—something that would elevate the overall aesthetic and add a unique signature to the property.

That’s when the idea of an art installation took root. I envisioned a piece that would complement the design and bring a sense of identity and panache to the project. With materials already in mind, I developed a plan on-site and ultimately created not one, but two bespoke art installations.

The result? A feature I’ve titled “The Orphan”—a piece with its own story, which I’d love to share when we meet.
